Do I have to buy an activation key for each waotch model I download

or will the one key work for all the clocks I download?

when buying waotch, you buy just one single model on one single mobile phone. the activation key works for one clock and for one installation only. on reinstallation you need a new key. but on occasional/accidental reinstallation, I send you this for free.

How to download waotch to my mobile phone?

You may download it directly from your mobile phone, using OTA. Or download waotch from internet to your computer, then via cable or Bluetooth onto your mobile phone. You find the links here.

Can I use waotch as screen safer?

This depends on your mobile phone. Most of the today’s mobile phones do not allow this. But as workaround, you can let waotch run all the time, since all java programs are interrupted on incoming calls or on short message reception.

Why the alarm or the carillon is not hearable?

If you have set a profile, which does mute the ring tone, like ‘meeting’, then waotch will not be able making sounds. Then check the audio volume settings of your mobile phone and turn on warning tones. Check also volume setting of waotch (in carillon settings). And finally, your mobile phone must support playing mp3-files from java MIDlets.

Is the autonomy of my mobile phone affected by waotch?

The duration of battery autonomy is not affected, as long as you have the waotch setting ‘power save mode’ enabled. In this mode, graphics display activity is limited, the hand motions are reduced to strict minimum (the second hand is not driven anymore and falls down), but carillon and alarm is still playing. Out of power save mode, most of the power is consumed for displaying waotch.

Does the program run as a service on the phone for carillon and alarm?

waotch is an application. Depending your mobile phone's capability you may navigate back to main screen, while the application continues to run in background, with all sound based features.

Can waotch read my privacy data on my mobile phone?

No, it can’t. waotch runs in a protected space, called ‘sandbox’, and can exclusively read its own configuration data (which contains the last user settings, like alarm time, view and carillon configurations). waotch does not use networking services.
